Effective date: 2 September 2025
Who we are: Habit Mentors (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates habitmentors.com and related pages.
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
1) What are cookies and similar tech?
- Cookies are small files stored on your device to remember settings and actions.
- Similar tech includes local storage, pixels, SDKs, and tags that help run the site, measure performance, prevent spam, or show relevant content.
2) How we use them (purposes & legal bases)
We group technologies into these categories:
- Strictly necessary – required to operate the site, provide security (e.g., reCAPTCHA), load consent choices, and process form submissions. Legal basis: legitimate interests and/or performance of a contract.
- Preferences – remember language or display choices. Legal basis: consent where required.
- Analytics – understand what content is useful (page views, clicks). Configured to minimise personal data where possible. Legal basis: consent in the EEA/UK where required.
- Marketing (if/when used) – measure campaigns or show relevant content off-site. Legal basis: consent.
You can give or withdraw consent any time via our Cookie Preferences (banner or link in the footer). Essential cookies always run because the site won’t work without them.
3) Cookies and technologies we use
Replace or remove examples you don’t use. Durations are typical defaults; confirm in your implementation.

| Preferences | Language/UX (first-party) | Remembers your selected language and layout preferences. | Language code, UI flags • up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4 | Page and event analytics. We mask IP where possible and avoid combining with other Google data for ads. | Pseudonymous IDs, events • up to 14 months |
| Email pixels | Brevo email pixel | Measures opens and link clicks in our newsletter to improve content and list health. | Email ID, opens, clicks • per send |
Email tracking choices: You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each message. Some email apps can disable remote images to limit open tracking.
4) Managing your choices
- Cookie banner / preferences: Use “Cookie Settings” to accept, reject, or fine-tune non-essential categories at any time.
- Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): Where legally required (e.g., California), we treat GPC signals as an opt-out for “sale”/“sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
5) Do we “sell” or “share” data (US laws)?
We do not sell personal information and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If this changes (for example, if we add ad tech), we will update this policy and provide required opt-outs.
6) International transfers
Some providers process data outside your country (e.g., EEA, UK, US). Where required, we use approved safeguards (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum). See our Privacy Policy for details.
7) Retention
- Cookie lifetimes are listed above or within our preference centre.
- Analytics data is retained only as long as needed (e.g., GA4 defaults up to 14 months).
- Consent records (what you agreed to and when) are kept to demonstrate compliance.
8) Updates to this policy
We’ll update this policy if our use of cookies changes. Material changes will be highlighted in the banner or on this page. The effective date above shows the latest version.
